So since any others have written today, I figured I'd also write a little ditty about what I've been doing. Here is a sample of activities I have been involved in during the last little while. And, to better accommodate Austin, it is mostly pictures.

This is me at the warped tour. My friend Sunny is next to me...she's a convert... Anyway, yes, I sprayed my hair kind of orange. It was way fun and I was there with Jake Flake and about ten people from our ward. I saw only a few bands, however because I had to go to work. So sad.

On Sunday I went to Dennis' farewell. It was really fun. I rode there and back with Joel and his family and Natalie and I are best friends. I had good talks with Lawrence and Kristen, and Megan - who I haven't seen since she got married! Did you know she has two kids? - and Dennis, Alan, Judson, Jordan, and various Aunts and Uncles. It was pretty fun and Dennis gave a great talk. Later that day, Heather's and Joel's families came over and we were all chilling and stuff - the usual. Emery and Luke are such good friends. Here they are on Dillon's back. Austin said this reminded him of an elephant ride. Can't see why...

So the other day we were hanging out outside and up comes this grey cat. Most of our cats are black and white and tabby and weird colors, but not solid grey. We don't know quite where he came from, but he's very friendly. Derek kept saying how the cat was "his new best friend" and such. Anyway, we named him Goose, because he kind of reminded us of a mongoose. Then a day or two later, another grey cat appeared. We assumed they were brothers, so his name is Duck-Duck. Goose is pictured. Duck-Duck we think ran away after the whole "car-engine" incident (see Cassidy's blog).

The story behind this is as follows: On the opening night of "The Dark Knight", we decided we wanted to also watch "Batman Begins". So we called Edwards Cinemas and got the OK, and we set up my buddy's projector and my buddy Dustin brought 2 couches and we set it up. We got all kinds of attention from passers-by. But more importantly, we got to watch the first Batman before going in to see the second. And just for the record, after I watched the midnight showing, I also went and saw it with the fam less than 24 hours later. It's pretty awesome!

Anyways, other than that, I guess I'll tell you what you all want to know: why I haven't gotten my mission call yet. I think most or all of you know that there is a weight limit for missionaries now and I was a little over it. But my stake president and bishop figured I could do the work, so they sent my mission papers in anyway. A day later, I got a call from the missionary department asking me about my low iron levels and about my weight. I told the missionary doctor that I had already lost some, so he wished me good luck and encouraged me to keep losing. Then my call didn't come, didn't come, and didn't come. So my bishop called the missionary department and they said that they had sent a letter to my stake president that said something about my weight. But the letter never came. So this morning my stake president called the missionary department and they read him the jist of the letter. Apparently the weight thing is a bigger deal than we thought. The letter instructed President Walker to send verification that the weight had been lost, after it actually is. Once I heard that, I decided to stop eating until I drop the last 7lbs. I had a yogurt for breakfast, a stalk of celery for lunch, and a chicken breast with spinach for dinner. I'm banking on this not taking longer than a week to lose. Please pray for me!

A group of us went to the Twin Falls temple last weekend. Top row: Ashley Scholes, Allison Wall, Me, Beth Layton, Bottom row: Cheryl Curtis, Eric Long, Juliana King, Cassie Lambert, Kyrie Hall. Cheryl, Eric, and Kyrie have all been baptized within the past year, so it was especially cool for them. But we all loved it! It's so pretty!
