My mission photos

Sarah took these pictures for me so they could go on my mission papers. What think you?

This one maybe my tank top's too low?

This is the one we chose. You like?

This is my glamor shot. But look at my horrible tan lines! Ugh! Curse Gemtek! (JK, Joel!)

The other week after EFY, Derek, Dillon, my buddy Dave, my buddy Jack (who's taking the picture), and I went and volunteered at the Boise Rescue Mission for fun and served dinner. We are so righteous!

Battle Wounds

This is my right leg. When the raft exploded (see Derek's blog for story), my legs got tangled up in the ropes that are around the raft for people to hold on to. So this is basically just really bad rope burn. If you can believe it, they have actually gotten better since Friday...

This is the top of my right thigh. Sorry for how graphic these pictures are. They're pretty painful as well.

Thirsty, Cassidy?

We all (Whitney, Derek, Dillon, Cassidy) slept on the trampoline last night. Cassidy was the last to arise. So we turn on the sprinklers...

Spreading the word!

I have a few minutes to spare while I'm waiting for Madi Greiner to wake up, so I guess I'll write a little something. Right now I'm at my old apartment and I just woke up from sleeping on the couch - which actually happened quite often when I lived here.
Last night after work I came over here and helped my friend Kiera make dinner for the missionaries. They came over, as did my friend and co-worker Eric long. He has been coming to church with us for a while (3 months I think) and had been taking the discussions and decided to get baptized. So after we all ate, we went over to the church to set up. Madi practiced her piano piece and I helped our friend Kristine write a talk on the Holy Ghost. It was pretty awesome.
The baptismal service was nice. Jake Flake performed the ordinance. Eric had to be baptized three times because he wouldn't bend his knees. It was good though. After the scheduled speakers gave their talks, then a whole bunch of the local church authorities spoke, including the mission president. He's so full of the spirit of the work. It reminded me of Dad. Happy Father's Day, by the way!
After Eric's baptism, my buddy Dustin and I had this idea beforehand to watch a movie downtown. I had called Tully's Coffee shop and asked if we could use their electricity and they agreed. So Dustin brought four couches, a tv and a dvd player and we set it up on the corner of 8th street and broad. Probably 25 people from our ward were there, plus some people who were walking by and wanted to join. It was totally awesome. The cops did, of course, show up, but after we explained that we had gotten permission, then they were totally cool with it. It was one of the most unique things I have ever done, to say the least.
Anyway, Madi just woke up so now I can get into that room and grab my clothes. Eric's getting confirmed today. Another sheep entering the fold!

Madi Greiner and me at the Black and White party. Oh yeah, and MacKenzie. He's strange...

We are so pretty

My roommate Ashley Scholes and me

Tressie Farley and I figured we should do a pose in black and white, in honor of the party theme

We were going a little crazy with the balloons...
